Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in TV and film is well known for movies like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead part in a variety of dramas on television. The audience was impressed by her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra's work has led her to be involved in a variety of important national and international projects. These projects comprise British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She also remained member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
